Learning to Drive a Car - day 1

Today was the first driving lesson for me, as I learned to drive a car. The car was a sedan, The Instructor sat besides me and was Instructing what to do, he also managed the steering wheel as it was the first day. The things I learnt today are.

1. After seating in the driver seat, check if clutch,accelerator and brake are reachable by the foot if not adjust the seat by pulling the crank below and sitting comfortably. Also check for the spine rest adjustment.
2. Check the side mirrors, whether the back of the car is visible in the mirror if not adjust the control inside to make mirrors face the back of the car where it is just visible.
3. Put on the seat belt and check if the seat belt is alligned properly.
4. The left leg is used to operate the clutch alone and it needs to pushed harder till it reaches the end, than the accelerator and brake to make use of it.
5. To operate the Accelerator and brake first place the right heel inbetween the brake and accelerator.
6. Use the Callus of the right leg to operate the accelerator and brake.
7. To use the gear box, the middle part is the neutral position, left and up is 1st gear.
8. Left and down is 2nd gear. up is 3rd gear, down is 4th gear, right and down is reverse gear and right and up is 5th gear respectively.
9. To use the steering, consider the steering wheel as a 360deg wheel and hold the wheel in 0deg and 360deg position.
10. To turn on the head lights, rotate the yoke on the right 2 times.
11. To turn on high beam, push the yoke backwards.
12. To flick the high beam you push the yoke forwards.
13. The left yoke on the steering wheel is for the windsheild wiper.
14. To turn on the left Indicator push the right yoke up
15. To turn on the right Indicator push the left yoke down
